A comb can establish an orderly direction, but not every finishing detail needs another full pass through the hair. Ask your barber which parts of your business haircut are best adjusted with the tool and which can be left or gently arranged with your fingers.
A practical question to answer before the service
Watch the transition between those methods. You may notice that combing again would remove separation the barber intentionally created afterwards. At home, identify the feature you want to change before choosing the tool. This makes each adjustment more purposeful. It also helps you explain why a routine looked right halfway through but changed after one extra action, instead of assuming the entire finish was beyond your ability to reproduce.
Bring one or two reference photos and explain what is difficult on a normal workday: straight hair that does not move, sides that expand, a flat top, a fringe that will not flow, or a routine that takes too long. A useful consultation connects the visible shape to the time, tools and products you actually use.
Service and booking guide
The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit price of AUD120. It includes consultation, haircut, shampoo and scalp cleanse, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Haircut pricing does not change by hairstyle; detailed clipper line art may cost extra. If straight, coarse or dense hair resists movement or pushes out at the sides, ask whether an iron perm or another Japanese men's perm approach is suitable. Perm services start from AUD250 including haircut and shaving, with a 60-minute booking guide. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair. Technique and current availability must be confirmed at consultation.
For a Sydney CBD appointment, allow enough time to reach Suite 5 on Level 1 of the Dymocks Building, 428 George Street. The location is convenient for people planning a visit around Town Hall, George Street or the central business district, but use the complete suite and floor details rather than relying only on a “near me” result.
