When product collects in the fringe, the rest of the hairstyle can remain unfinished while the front looks too heavy. Ask your barber to show where their hands first contact the hair. The starting point may matter as much as the amount they use.
What to discuss with your barber
For your own routine, spread a small amount evenly over your fingers before touching the head. Work through the areas that need support, then approach the visible front with the product that remains. Your barber can adapt this sequence to your particular finish. Practise slowly once rather than adding extra product whenever a section resists. A controlled application makes it easier to identify which area actually needs attention before the working day begins.
Plan your Sydney CBD appointment
The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit option at AUD120. It includes consultation, haircut, shampoo, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Confirm additions and the total before booking. For straight, coarse or dense hair that resists movement, ask whether an iron perm is suitable. Perm courses start at AUD250 including haircut and shaving. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair; other perm techniques should be confirmed at consultation.
