Separate the cut from the styling

Look at the fringe direction, movement through the top and separation between strands. Ask which details come from the haircut and perm, and which you would recreate with daily styling.

Check the length available

Show your current hair from the front and side. The sections you want to change, their length and previous chemical treatments all matter when discussing suitability.
