A Japanese iron perm is one option we discuss with men who want their haircut to hold a more manageable shape. At HIROGINZA Sydney CBD, we use this technique as part of a plan for the finished style, not simply to create the tightest possible curl.
Why consider an iron perm?
Stiff, dense hair can be difficult to direct, while some men find that the sides expand instead of sitting within the intended shape. Our aim is to build in a shape that is easier to recreate during morning styling. An iron perm may be one option, depending on your hair and the finish you want.
What we check first
Tell us about bleaching, colouring and straightening history. We do not recommend iron perms on bleached hair. Hair condition and the length available also need to be considered before agreeing on a service.
Finish and home care
Easier styling does not mean every hairstyle requires no effort. We explain how to dry and finish your particular cut, then choose products according to your hair and preferred texture.
Ryunosuke Kano and Rika Kano both offer iron perms. Our perm services start from AUD 250, including a haircut and shaving. Find appointments at our Dymocks Building salon through the online booking menu.
